Andrea Neil into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame

And then there were five!

Andrea Neil, who played 132 times for Canada’s women’s team is the newest individual from the soccer world to be inducted into Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame. Andrea, currently an assistant coach with the national team, joins Dave Turner, Bruce Wilson, Bill Simpson and George Anderson in the national sports hall. Turner made a name for himself in to 20s and 30s as a member of the great Westminster Royals team, while Bruce Wilson starred with the Toronto Blizzard and captained Canada at the 1986 World Cup. Bill Simpson was President of the Canadian Soccer Association from 1965 to 1970, while George Anderson was secretary of the CSA from 1951 to 1968.
Andrea, who played for Canada in four World Cups, 1995, 1999, 2003 and 2007 will be officially inducted into this exclusive club next November.
